Homemade Fudge

Ingredients
- 75ml water
- 500ml caster sugar
- 60g butter
- 25ml syrup
- 1 tin condensed milk
- 5ml vanilla essence
Directions
- Over medium heat, stir the water and caster sugar together until dissolved.
- Add the butter and syrup and stir until fully combined.
- Stir in the condensed milk.
- Boil, stirring continuously, until the mixture turns a deep caramel colour and starts to thicken.
- Remove from heat and whisk in the vanilla essence.
- Pour into a lightly greased heatproof dish and score into portions while still warm.
- Leave to cool completely before cutting.
